Have You Ever Noticed a Baby Snail?
Garden of Delights
A baby snail the size of a pea. A curious little creature. I pulled a leaf from the nearest plant and coaxed him onto it. His eyes the size of pinholes looked around and explored the leaf. He sat up like a puppy to investigate the new ground beneath him.
I have gone through my entire life and never noticed a baby snail. In fact, I’ve discovered so many things in the past few years since I decided to stop rushing all the time. I’m not sure where I was rushing to. But I was always in a hurry. I was always excepting too much work. I was unable to say no to any invitation. I was unable to just sit and do one thing at a time. But now, I’ve given myself permission to take long walks each morning. Have you ever tried giving yourself the first hour of the day? To just be with a cup a coffee and a notebook, take a walk, stretch on the floor with incense burning. Just the quiet and you? The secret is, you have to do it for yourself no matter how busy you are. Just because.
Be the snail.

💕 Be the snail.
Excellent advice, Kim! (And an adorable little find!) I watched a bee crash into the center of a morning glory flower and spin and toss upside down in its pollen. A breakdancing bee! It's funny what you can see when you're slowing down enough to sharpen the blur.
