Love your story about the moth. I've had butterflies wake up in the house over the winter that had come in on my plants and various other unexpected guests. It always feels like such magic.
One tiny thing, or not so tiny thing, that brought me joy this week was seeing the Northern Lights for the first time in my life. I went out with the dogs before bed and was surprised by a red glow in the sky. Talk about magic!
I was obsessed, too. Funny that it happened when I least expected it. But isn't that sometimes the way. Another thing on my list -- ride in a hot air balloon. Not really something that could happen accidentally. š
I used to live in Nebraska when I was in elementary school. They had a lot hot air ballons float by in summertime. I thought they were so magical. However, heights unravel me a bit. Not sure if I would freak out. š But the view⦠might make me try.
While camping, I found a moth had gotten into the ash of the fire pit. I tried to rescue it. Carefully placing it in the bushes near by, adding a water drop on the leaf near it. It did not make it though. I cried. The park keeper and I were talking and I shared my story and she told me I had some underlying deep issues. Ugh. To care for the tiniest of creatures and have empathy - not really a bad thing. I still rescue bugs. lol. even spiders (though I canāt handle those) eek š¬
Thanks for the draw! I am excited to own a Kim K art piece š¤š
That makes me a little sad - that she made you feel like something was wrong with you for caring about a moth. Some of us feel things so deeply. I think it is a superpower. We could use more of it in the world. Happy to be sending you a print! Drop me your address!
How wonderful! My appreciation of moths has grown a lot over the last several years.
My tiny thing this week was that my youngest daughter and I were able to go out Wednesday night and see the northern lights. They were spectacular and we were able to capture some absolutely stunning pictures.
I'm so jealous of all these photos of the northern lights! I would LOVE to see them. I just clicked to see if you posted images, and you did. AMAZING. That must have felt so magical. Do you normally see them yearly? Or was this just a random occurrence?
We have been lucky enough to see them three times in the last two years. Prior to that I had never seen them in person before, and Iām 53! Itās absolutely magical and breathtaking.
I received your beautiful card last week. Thank you soooo much Kim. It is beautiful! Seriously, in print is so much better to enjoy!!
And it came at such a good time as I was having a rough day! Will cherish it immensely. Itās up in my main living space getting enjoyed everyday ā¤ļøš¤ā¤ļø
My husband and I were invited to an annual college Friendsgiving religiously attended by our friends from his college years plus 15 years. Both of us really needed rest and we were told kindly to stay home and get rest. During the party, we get a FaceTime call from our good friend who then hands the phone to their now very walking child. (Long distance, big milestones every time we see them!) He bobbles about but really does an excellent job. He held the phone pretty well to square up his face and he was just running in circles at some point. It was so funny.
We got to talk to everyone too and do the part where everyone says what theyāre thankful for. It is our favorite part. It was a small gesture with a big impact. Both the order to not drive 12 hours exhausted and the FaceTime. Small things.
Iām living for your geeky photo! šš„°š¤£
me too! I love it! š„°
