I love everything about this! My tiny thing was a visit with my cousin. It was lovely, and he told me many facts about our grandmother that I had not known. Since I have “lost” both of my parents (my dad passed 4 years ago and my mom is in the late stages of Alzheimer’s)—it felt grounding and fortifying to talk and learn about my family.
Funny, my trip down there was to visit my cousins. Seems as we age, our cousins are the family we will have around in the future when our parents pass. So sorry to hear you lost yours already. We all have a family history to share among us - which is beautiful thing.
My husband and I celebrated our adult daughter's birthday with a snowshoe outing. It had just snowed and the woods were pure white, the trees still laden with snow. It's the most peaceful place, the forest after a snowfall. It's a silence like no other. That's my Tiny Thing.
That sounds beautiful. I love how silent everything is when the snow has just blanketed everything. I have never been snowshoeing. It sounds like a really good workout.
Thank you. I hear big storms are coming to some parts of the country! I hope you stocked up on lots of comforting foods. I always know I can make it work as long as I have good things to eat. 😊
Amazing! I thought the still picture was a sculpture! I look forward to participating in love birds. I am really going to concentrate on developing a style, too! Thanks for the perfect challenge.
I have adored pelicans since the first time I layed eyes on one at Longboat Key, Florida when when I was 5. I’m 52 now and am still super fascinated with them.
Thank you for your beautiful work and precious story about Charlie.
My little thing is unadulterated joy & laughter. It’s been a hard, gut wrenching, tiring few weeks. But yesterday. Yesterday, was a day of so much SHEER JOY!
Thanks so much! He was a nice surprise. It is all those little breaks of pure joy that make life so good. I love having people in my life that I can laugh like that with.
Dear Charlie, I hope he had a great day. He is truly beautiful and I also had no idea about the various colors around their bill and neck area.
My tiny thing is that I learned a bunny is sheltering under our back deck (wooden) this winter. A couple days ago, I was headed out to refill the bird feeder in preparation for our sub-zero weather and a quite large bunny came jumping out from under the deck as I stepped out. I had seen her tracks in the fresh fallen snow the past few days. As I looked closer I could see she had made a small tunnel in the snow to be able to get under the deck.
I don't go on IG anymore but I look forward to following along with the challenge!
I almost felt nervous that he was so trusting. Which really felt so beautiful seeing how many people were around. It feels amazing to be able to be so close.

I wholeheartedly agree!

This is an adorable story (and artwork) that I needed to cheer me up as the NORTH wind is howling before the nasty storm forecast. Thank you!
(edited... autocorrect made it "birth" wind! NORTH wind autocorrect NORTH!)

He is an amazing bird. Up close, I could not believe he was real. Looking forward to seeing your art!

Awe, how delightful. I love spotting the bunnies in my neighborhood. I would love to have one in my backyard. ☺️
