Lovely. I also have 95,000 photos, my kids are 40 now. WOW, I am facing a huge sorting activity. Do it year by year so you don't arrive at a later date with toooooo many photos. Every expression was priceless to me, now I do not need 95,000 photos!

It is the photo album rabbit hole! Once you go down there, it is an endless path of memories. I begin to get overwhelmed. Then I start deleting all the junk I never should have saved. I never have enough time to finish. Sorting each year is so necessary! Such good advice. I have to do that. So I can begin fresh!

on my way to work earlier this week i got to witness two baby deer prancing around in the dew-covered grass, not a care in the world. that was certainly a Tiny Thing to me c:

I cannot tell you how much I've been wishing to see a baby deer this summer. But we do see them in my neighborhood. When I go back east, my parents' neighborhood is filled with them. Those little white dots in their fur. 🥰

I relate so much to your words. I just got home from dropping of my youngest daughter to college out of state in Monterey, CA, where there is so much beauty and I am so excited for her. We all go to be there with her, my husband and 2 much older children who are 10 and 6 years out of college. I quietly watched my children interact with each other. My heart was full and a little sad. Those moments are so precious.

I noticed the pink bougainvillea, the cypress trees, sea otters floating on thier backs and the soft white sand under my feet at Carmell Beach.

I have been raising kids for 33 years and now I am an empty nester. I have waited and wanted to create photo albums of our lives and years together. It brings me so much joy for the small books I have made.

I feel ashamed that I haven't created books even for my 30 year old children with paper photos. This will be my next chapter. Creating photot books and knolling things that remind me of each child.

You give me hope and an excitement to create.

Thank you,

Jessica

Monterey is so beautiful. What a great place to go to school. My friends live in a neighboring town, and I always look forward to visiting.

I kind of miss the paper photos. I think of how many we lose to digital and forget they exist. It is such a good idea to make those albums. I find that as I get older, I just forget. But I stumble on a photo, and it all comes flooding back. Kind of like why we save items. A link to a memory. It will be fun to make small books! I really enjoy doing them.
