During the summer I love looking at all my flowers in the morning with a cup of coffee. I have a pollinator garden so I get to see all the bees that rested overnight on my plants.
I love the story of how whale song helped your family. Whales are very special to me as my youngest daughter has been enamored with them since she was 4. Her favorite are Orca, but she also was lucky enough to see humpback whales when she when on a whale watching trip to Washington state two years ago.
One of my favorite summer activities is sitting on my back deck once it is in shade, and watching the birds at the bird bath or feeder while I drink homemade lemonade over ice, usually out of a mason jar. My town also has a wonderful outdoor pool and "lazy river". They open very early in the morning for adults only to walk the lazy river. It is fabulous exercise and it feels so refreshing to be in the cool water. I go twice a week and I love it so much.
That lazy river sounds amazing! I wish we had something like that. Near me, every water experience is so overly crowded. This is why I love to go camping - I get to play in the river with very few people. I just love the water in the summertime.
Every time I pay to go on a whale watching experience, they never show up. But I have heard them under the water which was so amazing.
My favorite summer activity is to get up early to sit on my back patio to watch the birds and drink coffee as the sun comes up.
That is the best. Drinking my first cup of coffee and listening to the birds sing. Summer morning just smell so good too.
