What is Looking for the Magic?

We all have an innate desire to create things. Whether it is painting, writing, or creating a recipe. It is the best form of meditation. It makes us present. Put us in the moment. Brings us calm. It is a process that over a lifetime leads us to all the things that light us up. It is free and plentiful. And we all find our own way into the state where the creative inspiration flows. For me, it is finding the wonder in the world. I explore nature. I find it in the bark of century-old trees or the intricate details of a camellia bloom. I delight in traveling to new places and discovering what grows there and what people create in different regions of the world. Nature is what connects us all. Here I write about my discoveries and the creative practice.

My newsletter is free to all. When you subscribe, it will be automatically delivered to your inbox. If you wish to support Looking for the Magic, you can become a paid subscriber. I will be announcing some new offerings for those who wish to explore their creativity.

About Me

A few years ago, I realized I didn’t know what my dreams were anymore. I had given all my time and creativity to everyone else’s projects. I bought a new sketchbook, took out all the art supplies I had collected, and drew something in nature ever day after my walk. I find the creative process is my best therapy in life. Immersing myself in nature, and indulging the creative process is how I dream of spending the rest of my days here. I am now an illustrator and licensed artist, building my new art business online.

You can find me posting new art weekly on Instagram.

I built my own store here.

I also work freelance as a designer and illustrator. I have run my own creative design business for two decades. To get in touch email me.
